The book of the American writer Anna Louise Strong tells about the events in Lithuania in June-July 1940. The book, first published in New York in 1941, is based on Strong's personal observations, which was among the few foreign correspondents - witnesses of the trials that took place in Lithuania on the eve of the restoration of Soviet power there. Attached is the Lithuanian-German Treaty on the Transfer of the Klaipeda Region to Germany, the Treaty on the Transfer of the City of Vilna and the Vilnius Region to the Republic of Lithuania and other documents.
