Memoirs of P. Krasnov, covering the period from April 1917 to the October Revolution. In great detail, he describes the picture of the collapsing Empire and the home-grown Napoleons flashing against the background of this tragic canvas with robespierchiks, sailors corrupted by the Bolsheviks, stunned by idleness and open prospects, and all kinds of idealistic internationalists with long-boiling brains and rotted souls. The picture is more terrible than Brullov's, because death comes just as inevitably, but slowly, therefore giving rise to vain hopes.
