The present, first issue of the Proceedings includes articles on the primitive and ancient archeology of Crimea. Almost all articles publish material from archaeological research of the post-war period. The collection reflects the direction of archaeological work of the department of history and archeology of the branch, largely subordinate to the development of the question of the role of local tribes and nationalities in the history of the ancient and Middle Ages of Crimea, which was an inseparable part of the Northern Black Sea region.
