Issues related to improving the comfort and expressiveness of modern buildings and structures, spatial orientation, shape of buildings and the nature of their glazing in terms of optimal heat transfer through the enclosing structures and protection against overheating by solar radiation are considered. examples of implementation of passive, active and interactive systems of solar energy use in buildings are given. The role of famous architects - Wright, Corbusier, Gropius and Roy in the development of solar lighting control methods is described. A critical analysis of the schemes and principles of glazing of buildings is given.
