For better or worse, the word "artistic" comes first in this case. Igor Rabiner's book about four great athletes of the past is devoid of "directorial vision" and the speculation of screenwriters. These are real stories of Valery Kharlamov, Anatoly Tarasov, Lev Yashin and Konstantin Beskov, told by their friends, family and friends. But this book isn't just about the athletes themselves. It is about a country, a bygone time and sports in it. After all, the de facto heroes of the book were professional athletes, winners of the Olympics, champions of Europe and the world. And de jure, one of them remained a locksmith or an officer. It is not at all necessary to get involved in sports in order to get true pleasure from reading Igor Rabiner's book. This is a very personal nostalgic work, which will certainly not leave indifferent those who themselves have found the time described here.
