Two works - French journalist Henri Barbie "In the land of horror. Martyr Armenia" and Turkish writer Fedhiye Cetin "My grandmother Geranush" - written at different times. The first begins the XX century, the second looks already in the XXI century. They allow us to see the Armenian genocide in the Ottoman Empire in the perspective of the century. Have the executioners "succeeded" in trying to destroy an entire nation? Henri Barbie and Fedhiye Cetin, each in their own way, show not only the enormity, but also the complete senselessness of genocide as a means of solving interethnic problems.
