Painter Ivan Khrutsky (1810-1885) from Polotchyna forever entered the history of Belarusian art as an outstanding master of still life and a brilliant portrait painter. In addition, he painted landscapes and genre compositions, created iconostases in the churches and cathedrals of Vilna and Kovno. In connection with the 200th anniversary of his birth in Belarus, there was a "second discovery" of the work of I. Khrutsky.
