This unique book, created by the patriarch of Ukrainian history, an outstanding scientist, writer and politician, the first President of Ukraine Mikhail Grushevsky (1866-1934), contains immortal pages of our past. The Great Patriot of Ukraine briefly but vividly outlined Ukrainian history to educate his native people. The publication was illustrated by the artist, Honored Art Worker of Ukraine Oleksiy Shtanko, known in Ukraine and according to its meoises, who created portraits of statesmen of the times of Kievan Rus and Zaporizhzhya Sich, as well as lights of Ukrainian culture, indicated by high skill.
