Imperial feeling is the basis of the civilizational choice of Russia. It exists in its peoples, whatever it is called, being the backbone of our development and the choice of our priorities. In this sense, the USSR was the successor of the Russian Empire, which has existed from time immemorial. The inner imperial feeling remained among the people even after the fall of Soviet power. The state apparatus of the country, even with all its internal shortcomings, still remains imperial.
