The eleventh issue of the Proceedings of the Institute of Russian History introduces readers to the main activities of the IRI RAS in the context of the development of promising areas of historical science. The content of the materials is determined, firstly, by priority problems that received coverage in the reports of employees and invited scientists at meetings of the Academic Council and centers of the IRI RAS. The second group of published materials are articles reflecting scientific discussions related to the celebration of significant historical dates in 2012.
