The monograph examines theoretical and historical aspects of the study of the elite in nomadic societies of Eurasia in the era of late antiquity. Considerable attention is paid to the methodology and methodology of studying elite groups in the socio-political organization of nomads in Southern Siberia and Central Asia. Based on the analysis of archaeological material and written sources, data are provided to distinguish different types of elites in nomad societies. Special attention is paid to the coverage of the sacralization of the rulers of the nomads and the influence of the religious factor on the ideological justification of the legitimacy of the authorities.
