V.I. Vernadsky entered the history of world and domestic science as the largest encyclopedic scientist and an outstanding thinker who had a huge impact on the formation of the scientific worldview of our era. No less great, although less well-known, is his contribution to the development of domestic culture. He was a passionate publicist, teacher and educator, humanist and tireless fighter for the freedom of scientific thought, the democratization of science and culture, and the spiritual growth of society.
