This is the third edition (and the second in Russian) of the excavation materials of Ajina-tep - a Buddhist monastery of the 7th - early 8th centuries. N e., the ruins of which are located in the south of Tajikistan (ancient BactriaTokharistan). Compared to the first Russian edition (1971), which took into account the results of work on this important architectural monument in 1960-1966, this book, like its second, Italian edition (in English, 2004), includes data obtained during research in 1967-1975. A special chapter of the monograph is devoted to the history of Buddhism in Central Asia.
