The Ural Historical Encyclopedia contains information about various spheres of economic, political and socio-cultural development of the Urals, biographies of prominent people of the all-Russian and all-Ural scale, whose life and work at a certain time were closely connected with the Urals, and biographies of figures of the "regional" scale who left an imprint on the economic, political and socio-cultural development of the region. The chronological framework of the materials covers the period from ancient times to the present.
