The first volume of the collected works of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi (1140-1203) includes "Treasury of Secrets," the first of five poems that make up his famous "Khamsa" ("Five"), as well as gazelle poems, qasids and quatrains, in which the poet celebrates the beauty of the world and man as the ideal of beauty The second volume includes the poem "Khosrov and Shirin," which praises high and pure love, glorifies the power of creative creative work. The third volume included the poem "Leili and Majnun," which tells about the tragic love of two young people. The poem praises the high, pure, bright feeling of Leili and Majnun, condemns the customs and customs generated by social inequality, incompatible with truly human ideas about love and happiness. The fourth volume includes the poem "Seven Beauties," which tells about the reign of Shah Bahram-Gur, in which the poet develops his views on the "ideal" ruler who uses power in the interests of the people. The fifth volume included his most significant creation, the poem Iskender Name. In this epic work, the author most fully expressed his philosophical and social views.
