The third edition (the second edition was published in 1970) of the textbook describes experimental and computational methods for solving problems in X-ray diffraction analysis, electron diffraction and electron microscopy, analysis of crystal structure defects, qualitative and quantitative phase analysis, texture analysis and spectroscopy, analysis of film materials taking into account new methods of structural analysis and new areas of its application. Algorithms of work performance using computers are given. The manual is equipped with a large reference material necessary for solving metal problems.
