This publication, compiled in Kyiv and in general in the South of Russia, contains monuments of predominantly Russian-Byzantine religious art in the pre-Tatar period of Russian history. But there are also such monuments between them, of which some precede the pre-Tatar grand-ducal period of Russian-Byzantine art and are usually called "Korsun," while others follow this period and belong mainly to northern Russia, especially Moscow.
