Thomas Hodge's research is devoted to the "artistic-hunting" side of Ivan Turgenev's life. For his work, the author chooses an ecocentric point of view, which allows him to take a fresh look at the writer's legacy: from this point of view, Turgenev's relations with forests, swamps and their inhabitants become necessary for understanding his creative and ideological concepts.
