The object of investigation is a drive based on an asynchronous motor with a squirrel cage rotor and with frequency control of the motor rotation speed, used for a submersible pump of an intelligent oil well. To clarify the features of the operating mode of the submersible pump electric motor together with a frequency-controlled drive (VSD) and the effect of the shape of the supply voltage on the loss in the engine and its heating, analytical studies of the drive were carried out. The studies were performed by modeling the drive in the MATLAB mathematical system using the Simulink package.
