The book presents a new method of studying mythology - universalist: myth is considered as an allegorically expressed social experience, which is a universal means of mass communication. This made it possible to establish the continuity of the cultural and political development of mankind from ancient Sumer and Egypt to this day. In the I-III sections of the book, the internal structure of mythological consciousness is analyzed in detail, its archetypes are revealed.
