In bourgeois science, thinking was viewed in two ways: as a purely subjective phenomenon or as a fact of a completely objective supra-individual nature. Accordingly, it was considered the subject of study of individual psychology or metaphysics, and the social factor in the origin and development of thinking was ignored in both cases.
