The two-volume publication of documents on the struggle of the Belarusian people for Soviet power during the civil war and foreign military intervention logically and chronologically continues the theme of the collection "The Great October Socialist Revolution in Belarus," published on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of October. The first volume of the collection covers the period from February 1918 to February 1919, the second from February 1919 to December 1920,In preparing the first volume, the drafters focused on the main, nodal issues of the topic: the struggle of Belarusian workers under the leadership of the Communist Party with the German invaders, the deepening of the socialist revolution, the organization of defense, the liberation of Belarus from invaders and the creation of government bodies.
