This book is addressed to the creative activity of M.M. Gerasimov - the founder of the method of recreating a person's appearance on a craniological basis. The presented essay examines the work of the Soviet anthropologist on the reconstruction of the appearance of historical figures based on the bone remains of the skull. In the preparation and selection of material for the monograph, a wide and diverse range of sources of historiographic, biographical and bibliographic content was used.
