The monograph is devoted to the evolution of the questionnaire method from the 20s to the 70s. XX century, and considers the origin and development of the domestic methodology for studying the theater audience as a single process with certain patterns. The book covers in detail how research goals and objectives were gradually formed during these years, how the understanding of the object of research changed. On a significant amount of material, the author conducts a comparative analysis of questionnaires developed by various research teams: their structure, logic of construction and evolution of filling are considered.
