Antique humanism took up the service of national French poetry - first in the small lyrical forms of Clement Marot, then in the large genres of the Ronsard school. In the 70s. Of the same century, the antique tradition, barely designed to "glorify the French language," was already giving way to Catholic baroque. But in the short time of its Renaissance, French poetry reached an extraordinary heyday. She approached the source of antiquity, already enriched by the experience of the Italian Renaissance.
