A textbook on solving problems of mechanics is written on the basis of many years of experience in conducting physics classes at the Physics Department of Moscow State University. At the same time, the authors sought to use primarily the most characteristic and typical tasks. To this end, along with original tasks, formulations of task conditions from existing textbooks, problem books and teaching aids were used, which were subjected to significant correction and revision. The manual is divided into chapters, each of which includes theoretical material, the main types of problems and methods for solving them, examples of solving problems, as well as tasks for independent solution.
