The book examines the liberation movement of the Armenian people and its movement for joining Russia in the first quarter of the 18th century. The work consists of six chapters. In the first two chapters, an attempt is made to highlight a number of issues of the socio-economic life of Armenian society in the 16th-18th centuries, during the Safavid rule. The following chapters set out the history of the liberation movement directed against Safavid rule and the invasion of the troops of Sultan Turkey.
