Young pilot Angus Parvis, having flown to Titan, learns that Commander Pirks, for whom he served for some time, is missing. He went to the Grail station and no one else saw him. The pilot goes in search of him and also becomes a hostage of the forest from frozen liquid gas. But before the cold penetrated inside, Parvis managed to step into the chamber of the vetrificator... Decades later, a stellar expedition flying past Titan rescued people from the permafrost and took them out of the vetrification "bells."
