The history of Motovilikhinsky factories for a century and a half is inextricably linked with the history of Russian artillery and the history of our Fatherland as a whole. It is no coincidence that the creation of the Perm Steel Plant in 1863 and the Perm Iron and Cannon Plant the following year coincided with the revolution in artillery - the transition from smooth-bore guns to rifled ones and the beginning of the production of steel guns.
