The publication reproduces the last, eighth issue of the almanac "Northern Flowers," which is associated with a whole era in the history of Russian literature. The special place belonging to this collection is determined not only by the abundance of artistic texts included in it, but also by the fact that it was compiled and published by A.S. Pushkin in memory of A.A. Delvig. The collection included prose: K.N. Batyushkova, V.F. Odoevsky, N.Ya. Bichurina, I.I. Lazhechnikova, M.A. Maksimovich, O.M. Somova, D.Yu. Struisky, F.N. Glinka, A.V. Nikitenko, M.P. Pogodina; poems: V.A. Zhukovsky, M.D. Delaru, E.F. Rozen, A.S. Pushkina, N.M. Yazykova, N.S. Tellova, A.A. Shakhovskaya, A.A. Komarova, L.A. Yakubovich, O.M. Somov, Z.A. Volkonskaya, P.A. Vyazemsky, E.A. Timasheva, N.Stavelova, N.V. Tankevich, A.Meschersky, V.N. Shchastny, FF N.N. Glinka, N.Ya. Prokopovich, E.A. Baratynsky, as well as "Northern Flowers" in letters from contemporaries and an article by L.G. Framan "Pushkin and "Northern Flowers."
