The work of Sismondi "New beginnings of political economy, or about wealth in his attitude to population" is the most important of all his works. This work sets out the economic theory that is associated with the name Sismondi. The translation was made from the second French edition of 1827 and for the first time is fully published in Russian. At the beginning of the book are given: brief biographical information about Sismondi and an article by V. I. Lenin "On the characterization of economic romanticism," which gives a brilliant and exhaustive criticism of his views.
