The Chronicle of Samoil Velichko (years of birth and death unknown) is a monumental work of Ukrainian historical and memoir prose of the 17th-18th centuries, which, together with the Chronicle of Samovidets, the Chronicle of Grigory Grabyanka and the History of the Russ, creates a complex of Cossack historiography. This is a historical source, the first volume of which covers the events of 1648-1659. in Ukraine. The second volume continues the description of the events of the first volume and ends in 1700.
