The book outlines the theory of systems and transformations of image and sound in the process of their recording, replication and reproduction. Methods of analog, discrete-analog and digital recording of audiovisual information signals along one, two and three measurements of recording medium in photography, holography, cinematography, video engineering, sound engineering and in information-measuring equipment are described. On the basis of natural classification, a system approach was considered in the design of devices and devices pre-assigned for recording various information signals. The principles of justification of the required system parameters are shown. The book is intended for undergraduate and graduate students; it is also useful for engineers engaged in the design, production and operation of devices for recording, replicating and reproducing image and sound signals.
