The monograph is dedicated to the Kasimov Khanate ("kingdom") - the Turkic-Tatar state that existed on the territory of Moscow Russia in the XV-XVII centuries. The life of this state entity was accompanied by many controversial issues - for example, how could a Muslim state with a Muslim ruler be headed almost in the center of Orthodox Russia? Was this "kingdom" a khanate or principality? The very condition for the formation of the Kasimov Khanate also seems controversial - how voluntary a measure this step of the Moscow government was; was his education caused by the internal needs of the Moscow state or was it dictated from the outside? The book examines the status of this ethno-political entity, the education and structure of the Kasimov Khanate, the political history of the Khanate of the specified period, sources and literature on the problem. The book is the first experience of a comprehensive study of one of the most important Late Zolotoordyn yurts. The book is intended for researchers of the Turkic world and historians of Russia of the XV-XVI centuries, teachers and students of universities, museum workers, everyone interested in history.
