A small monograph by a well-known English scientist is devoted to the topical issue of the theory of motion of artificial celestial bodies: the development of a theory that allows, on the one hand, to accurately calculate the orbit of a satellite or spacecraft moving in the atmosphere of a planet (i.e. at a short distance from its surface), and on the other hand, from the change in the satellite's orbit due to atmospheric drag, calculate the density of the latter.
