Tibet, like a magnet, attracted the leaders of the Third Reich. It was the most inaccessible, most mysterious and at the same time the most alien country to Europeans in Asia. Following the greatest philosopher I. Kant, the Nazis believed that it was Tibet that would become "the shelter of the human race for the time and after the ultimate greatest revolution on our Earth." In 1938-1939 the famous expedition of Ernst Schaefer was sent to Tibet under the patronage of the SS Reichsfuhrer. For many decades, all information about this expedition was classified as "Top Secret." And there really was something to hide... In the book A.V.
