These estimates are based on the application of the balance equations for matter, energy and entropy. Entropy production depends on process kinetics, system structure, and flux intensity. The main models of thermodynamic systems are described. Optimization and optimal control methods are used to solve the problem of the minimum production of entropy in such systems under certain restrictions.
