During the reign of Queen Victoria, English travelers first visited the endless, unexplored Arcadia, the land of fey, a monastery of incredible miracles that are not subject to human understanding or laws. Rev. Laon Helston arrives there to convert the locals to Christianity. The missionary who preached here earlier suffered a sad fate under mysterious circumstances, and soon Laon disappears without a trace. His sister, Katherine Helston, embarks on a dangerous journey in search of her brother, but in Arcadia she will only have a lonely wait in a sinister estate called Gethsemane. And then comes the news: Laon is back - and he is followed on his heels by Queen Mab with her mad court. Soon Katherine will be convinced that there are secrets that are better not to know, and Arcadia is much worse than it seems at first glance.
