The book discusses the issues of choosing and rational use of lubricating and cooling technological means (WHTC) when grinding with abrasive tools. An analysis of the mechanism of action of STS and their impact on the efficiency of the grinding process is given. Information on the physical and operational properties of the VMS is given. Described are modern methods and means of cleaning lubricating-cooling liquids (coolant) and combating their splashing during grinding. The essence, advantages and disadvantages are described, the areas of application of the currently known methods of using (feeding) WHRM are determined. Ways and means of increasing the efficiency of the WHRM during grinding, as well as the theoretical foundations of a new jet-pressure extraneous method of supplying coolant are considered. On the basis of experimental material and generalization of industrial experience, the technical and economic efficiency of the new method and the effect of the method of supplying coolant on wear, blunting and salting of grinding wheels, cutting forces and grinding power, surface roughness, accuracy of the geometric shape and operational properties of the ground parts, grinding performance are shown. Recommendations are given for industrial application of jet-pressure extraneous method of coolant supply during grinding.
