The monograph presents the results of many years of comparative studies on the biology and ecology of the Black Sea mytilids (Mytilus galloprovincialis, Mytilaster lineatus, Modiolus phaseolinus, M. adriaticus). Distribution, reproduction, growth rates and other population characteristics are analyzed depending on the living conditions of mollusks.
