This work is an attempt to systematize materials on public housing in Ukraine. The author set himself the task of giving in a concise form a general description of the housing and outlining the methods of organizing the plan, design techniques and methods of artistic processing of building elements. In this work, only peasant housing of the XIX and XX centuries is considered.
