The 1917 Chronicle in Kostroma reflects revolutionary events in the province. The contradictory processes of public renewal of the country, forms of patriotic and anti-war activity are shown. The activities of political parties that often pursued opposite goals (from cadets to Bolsheviks) are presented. The Chronicle reveals the reaction of a society in the process of destruction and the birth of a new world.
