The book includes almost all the questions of the training program. It retains the classic course construction method. At the same time, the author does not strive for a strong mathematization of the course, and where possible and expedient, he tries to do with simpler mathematical techniques, without, however, violating the logical construction of a particular physical theory and without turning the experimental course of optics into a theoretical one. Along with the software material, much attention is paid to the applied problems of optics.
