This monograph was prepared by an international team of authors, which is made up of scientists who have worked for many years in the university and museum spheres. It highlights archaeological sources on the history of the North Caucasian region, from ancient times to the end of the 19th century. Archeological data, widely used not only in archaeological, but also in ethnological research, are presented by the authors in a problematic manner, taking into account the current level of study of various categories of archaeological sites and artifacts in all major eras, periods and cultures of antiquity, the Middle Ages and modern times.
