The textbook provides basic information on the design of general-purpose machine parts and methods for their calculation. The textbook has been significantly revised in accordance with the new program of the course "Machine Parts for Engineering Technical Schools." The statement of theoretical material is illustrated by typical examples of calculations. In the scope provided by the program, the textbook contains basic information on riveted, welded, threaded, key, gear (splined) and pin connections, friction, worm, belt and chain gears, axes, shafts, couplings, sliding and rolling bearings. The textbook is intended for students of engineering technical schools.
