The book shows episodes from the life of the poet in the light of his attitude and in the context of his era, for which new archival materials are involved. The original illustrations with which the book is generously saturated are the fruit of a purely artistic explanation of Boratynsky's life; being quite free from the documentary-historical meaning of the story, they represent an original phenomenon of graphics.
