The book is dedicated to the fate and work of figures of Slavic writers, critics, literary scholars who were subjected to political repression, who became victims of totalitarianism, among them are Russian literary critic G. Smolyaninov, Bulgarian esthetic D. Gachev, Polish writers V. Vandursky and A. Wat, Czech poet J. Zagradnichek and many others. For the first time, unique materials, memoirs, archival documents are introduced into scientific circulation in the book, works unknown to our readers are analyzed.
