This book is a continuation of the monograph "Israel and the USA. The main stages of the formation of the strategic partnership 1946-2014." It examined the development of bilateral US-Israeli relations from the moment the State of Israel arose until it acquired the status of the most privileged non-aligned ally of the United States. Over the past 10 years, the internal and foreign policy situation in both Israel and the United States has repeatedly changed, which, accordingly, dictated changes in relations between the two countries. The leadership of the United States has changed - the Republican team of D. Trump has replaced the Democratic administration of B. Obama. In accordance with the specific historical situation, the tasks of Israel's regional policy were formulated in a new way. This monograph shows new regional problems and capabilities of this state, analyzes how adequately Israel reacted to the ongoing changes, while maintaining the main components of its regional policy: on the one hand, political independence, on the other, orientation towards US support.
