The training manual contains a systematic set of issues related to the operation of weapons and ammunition. The basic concepts of the theory of efficiency, the physical foundations of the functioning and destructive effect of fragmentation, cumulative, high-explosive and penetrating weapons are considered. Calculation formulas allowing to estimate parameters of damage fields and their interaction with various objects are given. Damage criteria are given, characteristics of the vulnerability of objects to various damaging factors are given, dependencies are presented to assess safe distances and the resistance of various structures to the action of an explosion and an impact. Issues related to the use of numerical modeling of explosion and impact processes are considered.
