This Russian three-volume edition publishes selected works of Gramsci included in the Italian collection of his works. The first volume of the Russian edition includes articles contained in the first two sections of the volume of the same name ("L'Ordine Nuovo") of the Italian collected works of Gramsci, published by him in 1919-1920 in the weekly "Ordine Nuovo" ("New Stroy") and the Piedmontese edition of the newspaper "Avanti!" ("Off you go!"). The second volume - "Letters from Prison" - publishes Gramsci's letters from captivity to his family and friends. The third volume, Prison Notebooks, includes some of Gramsci's philosophical, historical, sociological, and literary critical works, written by him in the harsh conditions of prison.
